Our Team

The successful business partnership that has been forged by co-founder and Director Kurt Price and Director Luke Vardon is a story of two people from different arms of the built environment fused together through a shared vision of wanting to build better.

At the helm since day one, Kurt had a vision to create a company that operated with ethics, integrity and honesty, undertaking projects of community, architectural and historic value while valuing the work/life balance and contributions of its employees.

Kurt brings a background in Civil Engineering and Project Management with a passion for heritage restoration and conservation and a desire to create a socially aware and responsible work culture.

Luke began consulting with Stokes Rousseau in 2010 having previously worked in domestic and commercial sectors for over 10 years and holds both commercial and residential builders registrations. Luke was appointed company Director in 2011 and brings a wealth of knowledge in construction management and project delivery ensuring successful project outcomes.

Luke oversees the entire project lifecycle from tender to project completion and has a strong focus in new business development, process improvement and cost management.

Supported by the core company values their partnership creates an organisational culture rich in shared technical ability and diversity.

Kurt

Director

Kurt founded Stokes Rousseau in 2006 and is a passionate advocate for heritage preservation and restoration. He currently manages the heritage portfolio and company systems.

From the start of the journey, Kurt has been driven to minimise impact on the environment, improve community amenity,  and create a socially aware workplace.

Luke

Director

Luke joined Stokes Rousseau in 2011 and is responsible for overseeing commercial project delivery, tender/estimation management and the coordination of all site staff.

Luke is a registered Commercial and Domestic builder with nuanced understanding of project delivery, gained over 22 years hands on experience in the industry.

 

Kate

HR Business Partner

Kate’s career to date has seen her work with global supply chains to meet their sustainability targets, which has fuelled her passion for people and business. 

 

Her role at Stokes Rousseau is key to driving human resource strategies and wider  sustainability practice across the business.

 

 

Mauricio

Project Manager

Mauricio holds a Master of Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with over seven years of experience in the construction industry in site and project management.

He joined Stokes Rousseau in 2017 bringing with him both his engineering and business background from his native Brazil. Mauricio is a valued and endlessly positive trainer of new team members.

 

Erin

Payroll

Erin has worked with Stokes Rousseau since 2011, wearing many hats over the years. Having managed the HR and Marketing functions of the business, she is an invaluable font of knowledge for all staff.

Erin manages payroll for the business, and her beautiful  photography can be seen on the project pages of this website.   

 

Joe

Project Manager

Joe recently joined Stokes Rousseau bringing his complex project delivery knowledge and natural problem solving ability to the team.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) Hons., and has vast experience, ranging from on the tools through to project coordination and now management.

 

 

Alexei

Apprentice Carpenter

Alexei is a third year apprentice carpenter completing a Certification III in Carpentry via Melbourne Polytechnic.

Since joining Stokes Rousseau in 2019, Alexei can be relied on to bring eagerness to learn and positive attitude to site.

 

 

Matt

Site Manager

Matt has over 19 years of experience in the construction industry including five years experience in site management.

Matt joined Stokes Rousseau in 2019 and has managed and supervised many heritage restoration projects, where his calm and honest approach ensures excellent outcomes.

 

Camden

Site Manager

Camden was hailed as the Master Builders’ Apprentice of the Year in 2019, and has is now both a qualified carpenter and a Junior Site Foreman.

Since joining the company in 2016, Camden’s talent and ambition has seen him develop a broad understanding of the project lifecycle which is central to his success as a site manager.

Jenny

Accounts Payable

Jenny brings over 30 years experience across multiple sectors to her role managing Accounts Payable for the business.

Her ability to juggle multiple deadlines and various ‘Jenny, where do I find,,,’ queries simultaneously are a credit to her skill and patience!

 

Ben

Site Manager

Ben joined Stokes Rousseau in 2018 brining years of experience in the construction industry. He has managed multiple commercial and heritage refurbishment projects including recent works at Kew Traffic School and Mission to Seafarers, Melbourne.

He is a passionate and adaptable leader, whose calm approach is an asset to any site he manages.

 

Frank L

Contract Administrator/Junior Project Manager

Frank possesses wide ranging expertise across all aspects of project coordination, gained from his work in both Nairobi, Kenya and Australia.

Coupling his systems knowledge and his friendly, approachable attitude, he has quickly become our resident ‘Procore wiz’ since joining the team in 2022.

 

Aaron

Site Manager / Junior Project Manager

Aaron joined the Stokes Rousseau team in 2018 bringing more than 17 years experience in commercial construction in Melbourne, NSW and the UK.

Aaron’s commitment to development and passion for process has seen him take on the role of Junior Project Manager in 2022.

 

Nathan

Site Manager

Nathan joined the Stokes Rousseau team in 2022 with more than 12 years’ experience in the residential and commercial construction industry

Nathan has owned and operated his own residential carpentry business and has experience in project management on commercial projects up to <$1m in value. He’s committed to further development and training.

 

georgia

Bid & Marketing Lead

Georgia wears two hats for Stokes Rousseau, coordinating both the bid process and  marketing activities. She has a plethora of experience in creating B2B communications gained from years working in the entertainment industry.

Georgia joined Stokes Rousseau in 2021, bringing both her loud laugh and love of Victoria’s rich architectural heritage.

 

Daniel

Site Manager

Daniel joined Stokes Rousseau in 2018, and has stepped up to the role of Site Manager in 2022.

He’s committed, enthusiastic and work-proud, with no problem to small. Prior to his new role, Daniel worked as a Leading Hand across the commercial portfolio, 

 

Tim

Leading Hand

Tim is passionate about restoration and is currently  working on our heritage portfolio. He is knowledgeable, mature and approachable.

Tim joined the Stokes Rousseau team in 2022 with more than 10 years’ experience working as a carpenter across commercial and residential sites.

Matt

Labourer

Matt joined the company in 2021 as a skilled labourer in stone and brickwork, keen to expand his skillset in carpentry.

He is a calm and diligent worker with an exacting eye for detail.
