The Balmoral Gardens Retirement Village was established in 1984, with 214 homes for 300 residents. Balmoral is one of the first villages accredited by the Retirement Village Association of Australia. Stokes Rousseau was engaged to revitalise the common areas. Works included revitalising 1300 square meters of floor area in the entry/reception, staff offices, kiosk, living room, dining room, card room, billiard room and library. Works also included completely stripping and renovating two communal toilet and showering facilities.
