Fitzroy Gardens Conservatory

 City of Melbourne
 City Design Studio Architect

Major conservation works were undertaken in order to refurbish and preserve the heritage conservatory and address long standing functionality issues. Works included the conservation of metal trusses, replacement of the timber roof structure, 400 square metres of roof glazing, façade and render repairs, storm water works, painting and the installation of modern mechanical services, electrical services, security services and audio visual systems.

One of Melbourne’s favourite tourist attractions, the Building is a beautiful example of the Spanish mission style and has delighted locals and visitors with spectacular floral and plant displays for over 80 years.
