Established in 2006, Stokes Rousseau specialises in large construction and heritage restoration projects, servicing government and commercial clients throughout Australia. Stokes Rousseau prides itself on delivering high quality projects, with a focus on service excellence, continual improvement and employee safety and wellbeing. Co lead by Director (and founder) Kurt Price, and Director Luke Vardon, Stokes Rousseau has grown to a become a highly functioning team of 16 employees.

Stokes Rousseau has extensive experience in heritage restoration including traditional techniques and materials, while working within the Burra Charters principal of “changing as much as necessary, but as little as possible”. This philosophy ensures that the integrity of original buildings and structures are respected and maintained. Stokes Rousseau trains staff and contractors in specialist conservation practices and utilises respected associations with specialist trades to deliver quality conservation outcomes. Stokes Rousseau takes a well-balanced perspective in the adaptive re-use of buildings, to preserve the original fabric and features, while bringing new life and functionality.
