Fitzroy Town Hall

The iconic Fitzroy Town Hall, designed by architect George Johnson and constructed in 1873, has been a significant symbol of community and civic pride. With our dedicated team of craftsmen, we have carefully repaired roof leaks, strengthened the existing roof trusses and consolidated the lath and plaster ceilings in the Main Hall. These works were followed by meticulous solid plaster repairs and artesian painting of the ornate ceiling.

The project architects and conservation works undertaken throughout the town hall were awarded the 2023 Victorian Architecture Award for Conservation.
