Stokes Rousseau was engaged to redesign and enhance the north-east entrance of the iconic Prahran Market, aiming to increase visibility and foot traffic from Chapel Street.

To minimise disruption to daily market operations, the project was delivered in two carefully staged phases.

Works included the demolition of the existing entry and construction of a new, architecturally prominent entrance featuring large PM signage and integrated feature lighting. The redevelopment also introduced a new outdoor seating area, multi-purpose tenancies, and DDA-compliant amenities — significantly improving accessibility, circulation, and the visitor experience for one of Melbourne’s most vibrant retail precincts.
